Take Jasmine, a 10 year old, who was shuffled between foster homes as her mum was too ill to look after her. This left her so traumatised that she refused to speak. At least… not until she met Grace, a Kids Hope mentor. Grace brought consistency and care, and made Jasmine feel valued. Trust was built and Jasmine began to speak! BUT, early intervention was the key!
