KHA Program Receives Civic Award

I was privileged to attend the Manningham Civic Awards presentation on Wednesday evening to support and cheer on one of our Coordinators Helen Bottomley, and her wonderful team of mentors from Doncaster Church of Christ. Helen and their Kids Hope program were nominated in three categories, (much to Helen’s surprise and delight) Volunteer of the Year, Citizen of the Year and a Community Achievement Award.

I am excited to say that the Doncaster Church of Christ Kids Hope program received a Highly Commended Award for the Community Achievement category. Congratulations to Helen and her team of mentors for receiving such great recognition in their community and it was great to have some exposure for the Kids Hope program in this public forum. Helen is pictured with the Mayor of Manningham, Tim Smith from Kids Hope and Sandra Bishop from the Doncaster Primary School.
